IMPERIA Schedules One-Off Show In Norway
October 30, 2008Dutch/Norwegian goth metal band IMPERIA — which is fronted by Norwegian singer Helena Iren Michaelsen (the original vocalist of the Holland-based band SAHARA DUST, which later changed its name to EPICA) — will play a one-off show at the Rock-In club in Oslo, Norway on Friday, November 7.
IMPERIA's sophomore album, "Queen of Light", was released in March 2007 via Massacre Records. The follow-up to 2004's "The Ancient Dance of Qetesh" contains 13 tracks and is "heavier and more varied" than its predecessor, according to a press release. "There are fast and powerful metal songs, slow ballads, heavy songs as well as a lot of serious guitar leads and oriental keyboards. It is a diverse album with crystal clear sound!"
IMPERIA performed at the 2008 edition of the Mystic Fair on July 19. The gothic and fantasy fair was held at the Ahoy (outdoor) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Fan-filmed video footage of IMPERIA's performance can be viewed below.
